Blossom

Have you ever seen the sun blossom,
open right up like a daisy or morning glory,
and seen the fire that's inside it?

The inside of a star is star,
like the inside of a marble is quartz.
If you've imagined it, you've seen it
as vividly as anyone alive .

We can't see the inside of the sun,
but we can feel his heat.
Because you can feel him,
and you could tell your professor if you felt like it
what his insides look like,
the impossibly white glory that's there,
you know that it is.
